A THIRD LIFE FOR OUR SETS

Upstream from the 1.618 Event “The New Luxuries”, we sourced forgotten materials from the luxury and cultural industries (dead stocks, obsolete display or exhibition items), and used them to give new life to : crates used to transport works of art, fabric, straw flowers and chipboard panels.

When the 1.618 Event was dismantled on June the 5th (World Environment Day), some beneficiaries came to collect these “secondary materials” to begin their third life. The Yes We Camp collective made furniture for Le Théâtre de Chaillot and Bellastock re-used some of the materials for its “Cité apprenant.e” festival in Evry Courcouronnes (Parisian suburbs), exploring learning through DOING.

We are delighted to have entrusted the challenge of designing a scenography that is as circular as possible to ARTER agency, which has applied the “best practices” of eco-design to sublimate the gifts proposed by the Centre Pompidou, Christian Dior, Guerlain, Louis Vuitton and Pierre Frey, whom we thank. We would also like to thank the Comité Colbert, which, in addition to relaying our call for contributions, is playing a major role in raising the awareness of all its members about responsible design.
