LAND ART GENERATOR: AN INITIATIVE TO BE FOLLOWED
At 1.618 Paris, we like sharing all kind of sustainability related news that caught our attention – especially the ones dealing with art! Today, focus on Land Art Generator Initiative.
This project has been set up in order to accelerate the process to a model of renewable energies with a strong added-value. Every two year, a competition is organized by the LAGI, counting thousands of competitors accross the world. All of them have a unique approach of interdisciplinary innovation, in particular the role that culture and art have in technology.
Artists, architects, scientists, land architects, engineers,… are invited to present a project using electricity that comes from nature. This year, as California encounters severe water shortages, the call to projects includes producing drinking water and/or clean electricity. In the mean time, this will help raise awareness when it comes to environmental problems through an aesthetic and educative way. We love it!
Winners will be announced October 6th, be ready![sharethis]
